The Providence College men’s basketball team has landed Drexel University’s big man, Cole Hargrove. And, the Friars have added a point guard who is transferring from Florida State. He had previously committed to PC and then decommitted in 2023.
First, the Big Man
The 6’8” forward comes to Providence after averaging 9.9 ppg. and 7.5 rebounds.

Drexel plays in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) and was 18-15 on the season and 9-9 in conference.

Came off the bench in 16 games as a sophomore…once again shot 50 percent from the floor, making six of his 12 field-goal attempts…averaged 4.3 minutes per game…blocked nine shots and had a steal…contributed six points, four rebounds and three blocks in the win vs. Penn State Greater Allegheny…also snared four boards in a victory against North Carolina A&T.
2022-23 / Freshman
Saw action in 18 games during this first year at Drexel…averaged 3.8 minutes of play per game…recorded career-highs of eight points and five rebounds against Arcadia…grabbed three boards in the win against Monmouth…finished the season shooting .500 from the floor (9-for-18)…scored at least two points in seven games.
A native of Norristown, Pa. who attended Methacton High School…set the school record for blocks in a game with nine and in a season (90)…named All-Mercury Area Player of the Year in 2022…a First Team All-PAC and All-Division selection in each of his last two seasons…played on three PAC Championship teams (2019, 2020 and 2022)…won both the Methacton Home and School Senior Award and the Vincent F. Farina Memorial Award

Son of Derek and Andrea Hargrove…has an older sister…majoring in graphic design.
PC has also landed rising sophomore point guard Daquan Davis — a transfer from Florida St.
He is 6’1 “ and is a native of Baltimore.
He averaged 8.8 ppg and had 77 assists for the Seminoles this past season.
