Over seven years with the Foxes, Iheanacho lifted the FA Cup, FA Community Shield, and the EFL Championship title. He notched up 61 goals and 34 assists in 232 appearances.
The 27-year-old reached several notable milestones during his time at Leicester, including being the first player to have a goal awarded via the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system in English football. He also made history by becoming the first player to score on every day of the week within a single season.
A key figure in Leicester’s 2021 FA Cup triumph, Iheanacho shared his appreciation in a heartfelt social media post:
“Thank you for the 7 years we shared, I’ll forever cherish our 2021 FA Cup win. Thanks to the owners who brought me to the club, all of my teammates in those years and the amazing Foxes fans. All the best for the new season.”
Iheanacho has now signed with Sevilla on a free transfer, becoming the second Nigerian to join the Spanish club.
