Napoli, the former Serie A champions, are reportedly open to reducing the €75 million asking price for Victor Osimhen in order to facilitate a transfer to Manchester United and avoid the striker moving to Italian rivals Juventus this summer, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.
Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray, is set to leave Napoli at the conclusion of this season, with numerous top European clubs vying for his signature.
The 26-year-old forward had been expected to depart last summer, but his proposed transfer to Saudi Arabia fell through, and he also turned down a move to Chelsea due to disagreements over personal terms.
Sources in Turkey, including Taktik Mania and Arda Ozkurt, have indicated that Manchester United is actively pursuing Osimhen and has made an “official offer” to Galatasaray. Although the exact value of the offer has not been disclosed, it is clear that United is intensifying their efforts to bring him to Old Trafford.
In addition to Manchester United, Arsenal has also placed a bid for Osimhen, and according to Ozkurt, Liverpool, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain are all closely monitoring the situation.
Galatasaray is reportedly willing to make significant sacrifices in an attempt to retain the 26-year-old striker. However, they are likely to face difficulties in persuading him to remain at the Turkish club.
