Indiana secured another commitment from the transfer portal, this time from Tucker DeVries, the son of head coach Darian DeVries. Pete Nakos of On3 Sports was the first to report that Tucker DeVries is officially joining the Hoosiers.
On3 Sports also reported that Tucker DeVries was ranked among the top 10 available players in the transfer portal.
The 6-foot-7, 210-pound shooting guard is expected to receive a waiver from the NCAA granting him an additional year of eligibility due to a shoulder injury he suffered in the 2024-25 season. Despite already playing four seasons at the collegiate level, he would be listed as a redshirt senior.
DeVries previously spent three seasons at Drake University, where he won the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year award twice.
This past season at West Virginia, DeVries played in just eight games before a season-ending shoulder injury, but he averaged 14.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.5 blocks in 34.5 minutes per game.
Over the course of his career, DeVries has played in 112 games and started 105, with averages of 17.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. He has a career shooting percentage of 36.7% from beyond the arc and 50.1% from the field.
As a recruit from the class of 2021, DeVries was a four-star prospect, ranked No. 101 nationally, No. 19 among small forwards, and No. 2 in Iowa by 247Sports.
Head coach Darian DeVries has secured two scholarship players who are already familiar with each other and his system. Enright, who previously played for three seasons at Drake, joins incoming four-star recruit Trent Sisley, one of the top players in the nation.
