Morocco head coach Walid Regragui has named a star-studded 28-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Atlas Lions squad features big-name players such as Achraf Hakimi, Yassine Bounou, Sofyan Amrabat, and Youssef En-Nesyri.
However, Sofiane Diop has been dropped, but Hamza Igamane and Youssef Belammari have been placed on the standby list by Regragui.
Morocco, the tournament hosts, are in Group A where they will face Comoros, Mali and Zambia as they begin their quest for continental glory.
The Atlas Lions are the clear favourites to win the tournament as they bid to win the trophy for only the second time, having clinched the first and only title in 1976.
Africa’s biggest football tournament will begin on December 21, 2025 and run until January 18, 2026.
