The Ole Miss Rebels wrapped up their 2025 baseball season with a 43–21 overall record and a 16–14 finish in Southeastern Conference (SEC) play, marking a strong comeback from their absence in the 2024 NCAA
Tournament. Under the steady leadership of veteran head coach Mike Bianco, now in his 25th year at the helm, the team displayed both resilience and offensive firepower throughout the campaign.
The Rebels entered the postseason with momentum but were dealt an early blow in the Oxford Regional, falling 9–6 to No. 4 seed Murray State. Despite the setback, Ole Miss responded with characteristic grit.
They eliminated Western Kentucky and then outslugged Georgia Tech in a thrilling 11–9 contest. Key
moments in that win included a three-run blast by Isaac Humphrey and a solo home run from Judd Utermark, highlighting the Rebels’ offensive depth and clutch hitting.
In a rematch with Murray State, Ole Miss came out swinging, putting up 19 runs in a dominant win to force a winner-take-all Game 7. However, their postseason run ended in heartbreak as the Rebels dropped a dramatic 12–11 decision in the final, despite a furious comeback attempt in the final innings that saw them tally eight runs.
Throughout the season, the Rebels’ offense proved to be among the most dangerous in college baseball. The team shattered its own single-season home run record—previously set in 2022—demonstrating the depth
and consistency of its lineup. Standout performances came from Luke Hill and Mason Morris, both earning
Second Team All-SEC honors. Freshman Hayden Federico also made a name for himself, landing on the SEC All-Freshman Team and establishing himself as a key player for the program’s future.
The Rebels benefited from an electric home-field advantage at Swayze Field, where enthusiastic crowds once again provided a significant boost. The 2025 season served as a testament to the strong fanbase and the enduring culture of Ole Miss baseball.
Though their postseason run ended earlier than hoped, the Rebels laid a solid foundation for the future. With a mix of experienced talent and promising underclassmen, the program appears poised for continued
