This victory extends the Stars’ point streak to five games and brings them within six points of the Central Division-leading Winnipeg Jets.
Wyatt Johnston, Matt Duchene, and Mason Marchment all scored for the Stars, with Roope Hintz adding two assists. However, despite the win, Stars forward Mikko Rantanen stressed the importance of making improvements at both ends of the ice.
The game had its tense moments, with Rantanen taking a deflected puck to the face in the second period. He came back to the ice later, sporting a protective face shield.
