A shooting on Sunday night in Chicago’s Back of the Yards neighborhood left one man dead and another injured, according to police.
The incident occurred around 8:05 p.m. in the 5400 block of South Damen Avenue. Authorities said the victims, a 69-year-old man and a 51-year-old man, were exiting a business when three individuals stepped out of a dark-colored sedan and opened fire.
The 69-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and back and was pronounced dead at the scene. The 51-year-old man was hit in the left leg and buttocks and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was reported to be in fair condition.
Police have not yet apprehended any suspects.
