We’re nearly through Week 15 of the 2025 NFL season, and the playoff picture and the road to Super Bowl LX are starting to come into view. Which teams have the best chances to make the 14-team field? Which still have work to do to ultimately get in? The Broncos and Rams have clinched spots, but 12 more are up for grabs.
We used ESPN’s Football Power Index to project the rest of the season, looking at the playoff picture for both conferences. We included updated odds for every team to make the postseason, clinch its division and even make the Super Bowl. And we also have projected seeds.

Projecting the AFC playoff field
The Broncos booked their ticket to the playoffs with an emphatic win over the Packers. Denver also got a leg up in the race for the No. 1 seed in the AFC, as the Bills kept the Patriots from claiming the AFC East title with a 35-31 win — after New England relinquished a 17-point lead. The division title is still very much within reach for New England, but it will need to wait a couple of weeks.
In the AFC South, the Jaguars and Texans both secured wins, but the Colts lost to the Seahawks, putting them outside the AFC playoff field at the moment. As of right now, the Jaguars have the edge in the division, but Houston and Indy are still in the mix and could both at least land wild-card slots.
The Chiefs and Bengals joined the Titans, Raiders, Jets and Browns in being eliminated from playoff contention.
Projecting the NFC playoff field
The Rams have clinched a playoff spot by winning a crucial matchup over the Lions. The other two NFC West contenders — the Seahawks and 49ers — pulled out wins, too. The Rams and Seahawks are both 11-3 and will face off on Thursday in Seattle. The winner will be sitting in the 1-seed heading into the weekend.
The Bears secured a win against the Browns, while the Packers could not finish the job in Denver. That put Chicago back ahead in the NFC North, and the stage is set for a head-to-head between these teams in Chicago on Saturday.
The Vikings joined the Giants, Saints, Commanders, Falcons and Cardinals in being eliminated from playoff contention.
Projecting the AFC playoff seedings
The Broncos took a leap forward in the race for the No. 1 seed, but the Jaguars and Patriots are both still in the hunt.
Projecting the NFC playoff seedings
It looks like it will come down to three NFC West teams for the first-round bye, and the Seahawks still play the Rams and 49ers one more time before the end of the season.
