In his first MotoGP season, Pedro Acosta is creating waves, and talk of his promotion to the Red Bull KTM squad for the following season is already circulating. Red Bull GasGas Tech3, whose owner Hervé Poncharal has acknowledged that it will be extremely tough to retain the youthful talent, is where the rider made his debut.

If Acosta’s promotion to KTM is approved, he will likely ride alongside Brad Binder, who is only a few places behind Acosta among the KTM RC16 riders but has a contract that runs until 2025. Binder is putting in much more consistent performances than Jack Miller.

When asked if the South African and the Spaniard might work together next season. Binder responded by praising Acosta without holding back:

I believe it will be awesome. He’s already done such an amazing job this season, really. He is always the fastest driver from the first practice, adds a fresh dynamism to the team, and highlights several areas in which we still need to develop. That’s why having quick teammates is always nice.
