In the MotoGP World Championship, Brad Binder is presently in seventh place, two positions behind Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3/KTM), who is currently the best KTM rider despite being a rookie and riding for a satellite team.
The Red Bull KTM rider has never finished outside of the top ten, but his performance has been below his potential and his ambitions of competing closer to the top. He hasn’t been back on the podium since finishing second in the season-opening event in Qatar. Hubert Trunkenpolz is certain of the South African’s potential, though.
“In 2024, we haven’t frequently seen the true potential of Brad Binder,” the KTM director stated to GPOne.com. His true potential is hidden by his present World Championship ranking of eighth. Brad would be fourth in the standings if it weren’t for his unfortunate three collisions this season. That’s his rightful place.
“These discussions are not helpful because we really want to be at the top of the world championship and not settle for fourth place,” Trunkenpolz stated, emphasizing that their goals go far beyond the top four. Our goal is to win, and we are obviously striving toward that.
