billionaire-maker, blockbuster, and hitmaker. Taylor Swift has a long list of titles that she is proud of, but none of them include her most informal position—that of babysitter to her closest friend Blake Lively’s kids.
During an E! News interview with Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, Lively’s spouse, joked about Swift’s “cost-prohibitive” childcare expenses. Jackman acknowledged that the 14-time Grammy winner serves as his family’s “nanny.” Reynolds responded, “The cost of that is…”
The hosting actor said, “I think the accountant stated “Cost-prohibitive.” But, I believe what he really said was, “I’m no longer your accountant—what are you doing, it’s so expensive.””
For almost ten years, Swift has been good friends with Reynolds and Lively, who got married in 2012. The pair was most recently seen taking photographs and singing along during the ‘Anti-Hero’ singer’s May Eras Tour stop in Madrid, Spain.
James and Ines, Lively’s two oldest children, stood in front of their father, while she was spotted holding her four-year-old daughter Betty in her arms. Swift sung the line “You heard the rumours from Inez” while Lively pointed to her daughter Inez and smiled during her rendition of “Betty,” which is famous for using the names of all three of Reynolds and Lively’s daughters.
In Madrid, on her first tour date, Swift also made fun of the couple’s daughters. Swift said to the crowd, “I have to say that some of my favorite characters on Folklore are named James, Inez, and Betty.”
Swift has previously expressed her affection for their kids through her songs. James’ voice was used by the singer-songwriter on her 2017 album Reputation. In the song “Gorgeous,” which opens with the two-year-old exclaiming “gorgeous,” James’ voice can be heard.
