At the top of the list of the fastest top speeds ever recorded in MotoGP, Brad Binder is no longer by himself. In the Italian Grand Prix last weekend, Pol Espargaró tied it.
With its lengthy straight, the Mugello racetrack is a great venue to break top speed records. it the Sprint race, Binder (Red Bull KTM) achieved the greatest speed ever recorded there, clocking it at 366.1 km/h.
Espargaró, a Red Bull KTM rider competing as a wildcard this year, equaled the South African record on Friday during practice for the Italian Grand Prix by hitting 366.1 km/h.
During the Mugello round, the Spaniard also led the speed charts twice: once in the first qualifying session at 364.8 km/h and again in the first free practice session at 363.6 km/h.
Just for fun, Mugello has been home to the top 13 fastest top speeds in MotoGP history since 2022.
