Brad Binder had a strong start to the MotoGP season in the Qatar Grand Prix, finishing in second place. Since then, though, he has only scored one more top-four result, failing to make a comeback to the podium and finding it difficult to challenge for the top spots.
Right now, the Red Bull KTM rider from South Africa is ranked eighth in the competition. On the other hand, Pedro Acosta, who rides with Red Bull GasGas Tech3/KTM, is fifth in his rookie season despite two podium finishes and steady speed; even in his blunders, he showed that he had what it took to contend for the top spots.
Notwithstanding these difficulties, KTM continues to have complete faith and support for Binder. In an interview with GPOne.com, Hubert Trunkenpolz, the director of KTM, underlined this dedication and highlighted Binder’s demonstrated skills, saying, “Brad has been unlucky this year; many things have gone wrong for him.” However, we never give up on a rider in a circumstance like this. Brad is known to be incredibly quick and capable of winning in MotoGP. He has repeatedly demonstrated this to us in each of the three classes.
“At the moment, some things are not going well for Brad from a technical standpoint, so we need to help him a bit with the bike,” Trunkenpolz emphasized that KTM bears the obligation for supporting Binder. We took his bike in a route that increased traction, but it no longer provides him with the feel at the limit he needs to get the greatest outcomes.
