Brad Binder has persevered in KTM’s trust despite a challenging season.
Because of his difficulties, there were murmurs concerning his future, but KTM acted swiftly to dispel any notion that he would be replaced.
Pedro Acosta, a factory KTM rider, will join Binder in the 2025 MotoGP rider lineup, meaning that Jack Miller, his teammate, will lose out.
“Acosta is definitely incredibly talented. Hubert Trunkenpolz, a board member of Pierer Mobility Group, told Gphone, “But that doesn’t mean we are excluding Brad.”
“Brad has had a very unfortunate year; a lot of tiny things have gone wrong for him.
However, we never give up on a rider in a circumstance like this.
“Binder’s speed and ability to win MotoGP races are well known.”
He has repeatedly demonstrated that to us in each of the three GP classes.
“Right now, Brad’s bike isn’t fitting together perfectly, so we have to assist him a little bit with it.
“We have taken his bike in a direction that has benefited him in terms of traction, but it no longer provides him with the feeling at the limit that he needs for the best outcomes.”
As the best-performing non-Ducati rider last season, Binder was a strong contender for the championship.
He ultimately placed fourth in 2023, but he hasn’t continued or enhanced his performance this year.
Binder hasn’t given much of a challenge to the leaders since placing second in the season-opener in Qatar.
Instead, Acosta, a teenage rookie, has been the KTM rider with the best performance.
In previous rounds, Binder has had difficulty grasping the RC16, and he lost the lead in the Catalunya sprint.
