The Dutch MotoGP sprint at Assen saw Brad Binder get a fantastic start from the third row, moving up to sixth place on the first lap.
Up until the very end of the race, the factory KTM rider was still trying to place among the top five.
Nevertheless, Binder found it difficult to overtake the Ducatis nearby since the pressure in his front tire was starting to diminish.
“I had a great start and managed to pass most of the riders ahead of me,” Binder remarked. After that, I had to adapt and determine my strengths and areas for improvement.
As the laps went on, I thought I had improved in a few areas, but I also sensed that I was getting close to the limit.
“I was actually having more trouble with the front than I would have liked when I tried to move.
Since I finished the entire race behind someone and under pressure, I believe that to be very common. Hopefully, I can catch some cold air during the race.
Jack Miller battled it out for the last spot in the top ten and ultimately placed 13th in the sprint race.
Pedro Acosta, a rookie in the KTM ranks, defeated Miller once more. Marco Bezzecchi and Miguel Oliveira also defeated Miller.
Miller said of the fight, “Decent battle there with the likes of Bez, Pedro, and Miguel.”
“I was absent for a little moment. I got going about five circuits in and completed a few decent laps.
It seemed as though I was pulling away from those guys, but with four left, they were still able to run at a fast speed, and I kind of reached my limit.
“I’ve been having trouble with the balance and had a few moments on the front end. My steadiness has been a little off lately, especially on the back straight around turn 12.
