The MotoGP rider market is full of uncertainty as there are still some vacancies available. Given Jorge Martín’s almost certain departure to a factory team (probably Ducati), one of them could be at Prima Pramac.
Among the drivers without a contract for 2025 is Miguel Oliveira, who races for Trackhouse Racing at the moment. Despite being one of the most competitive bikes, the Aprilia RS-GP he currently rides has not yet reached the level of the Desmosedici GP.
According to MotoSprint, there are rumors that Oliveira and the Italian team have been communicating, possibly thanks to their sponsor Red Bull. It is worth mentioning that Martín is also sponsored by Red Bull.
As the Ducati is currently the most competitive bike, Oliveira finds the idea of riding one interesting. He’s having some problems at the moment with the Aprilia. However, how attractive would Oliveira be to Pramac?
If Martín leaves, Ducati has other possibilities. Enea Bastianini, if he leaves the factory team, or the VR46 duo of Fabio Di Giannantonio and Marco Bezzecchi, who are performing well, are two options. It’s also important to remember that Bezzecchi came third in the World Championships the previous year.
On the other hand, Fermín Aldeguer is expected to advance to the MotoGP class alongside Pramac. Franco Morbidelli may have to leave for Oliveira or another driver to join the team. The injury that kept #21 out of pre-season hasn’t helped his start, but he is adapting well and getting closer to competing at the highest level.
