By signing a multi-year contract extension and moving up to the factory team for 2025 from satellite company Tech3, Pedro Acosta has already proven to be a transcendent talent and game changer in MotoGP. This will be the easiest rider decision KTM has ever had to make.
Because of Acosta’s rise, KTM’s former standard-bearer Brad Binder, who was granted a contract extension in 2023, has lost some of hisluster. In fact, KTM has left the door slightly open for Binder to move into Tech3.
This is obviously not going to happen with players like Marquez and Jorge Martin off the market, but at this point, Acosta is the driver KTM will view as its best chance to win a title, maybe as early as 2025.
