Since the MotoGP GP of the Americas (when Pedro Acosta and GasGas Tech3), KTM has not finished on the podium. Even in their home race, the Austrian GP, they were unable to challenge Ducati’s dominance, despite having Brad Binder finish fifth as the “best of the rest.”
In remarks to GPOne.com, Carlo Pernat admitted this, saying, “KTM was racing at home and at least did something.” All things considered, Binder and [Jack] Miller stood out among the others, or the common people.
The riders’ manager noted that while both KTM factory team riders were competitive, the end result did not live up to the manufacturer’s expectations:
Miller flew as well, and Binder did well, but this is definitely not the kind of performance KTM was hoping for, especially in light of Pedro Acosta’s ongoing issues despite his early-season improvements.
